Overview
Cited is built for teams. Whether you are a solo operator inviting a colleague or an agency managing dozens of client accounts, Cited's collaboration features let you control who has access, what they can do, and how your subscription is managed. This guide covers team invitations, roles, permissions, agency workflows, and billing.
Inviting Team Members
To add someone to your Cited account, navigate to Settings > Team and click Invite Member. Enter the person's email address and select the role you want to assign. The invitee will receive an email with a link to join your team.
Pending invitations are visible in the team settings panel, where you can resend or revoke them at any time. Once accepted, the new team member appears in your active roster and can begin working within the permissions of their assigned role.
Roles
Cited offers three roles, each designed for a different level of involvement.
Admin
Admins have full access to every feature in the account. They can add and remove businesses, run audits, generate recommendations and solutions, view analytics, manage team members, and handle billing. Admins can also invite other admins.
The account creator is automatically assigned the Admin role. Most teams have one or two admins who manage the overall account and make strategic decisions.
Member
Members have operational access to the platform. They can add businesses, run audits, create templates, generate recommendations, and work with solutions. However, members cannot manage team settings, invite or remove other users, or access billing information.
This role is ideal for team members who are actively working on AI visibility optimization but do not need administrative control over the account.
Viewer
Viewers have read-only access. They can browse businesses, view audit results, read recommendations, and access analytics dashboards, but they cannot create, modify, or delete anything.
The Viewer role is designed for stakeholders who need to stay informed -- such as executives, clients, or external consultants -- without the risk of accidental changes.

Agency Context Switching
For agencies and consultants managing multiple client accounts, Cited supports context switching. This allows you to move between different client workspaces without logging out and back in.
Use the account switcher in the top navigation to select the client or business context you want to work in. Each context is fully isolated -- audits, recommendations, solutions, and analytics are scoped to the selected account. This ensures that client data remains separate and organized.
Context switching is available to users who have been granted access to multiple accounts. Agencies typically set up a separate account for each client and invite their team members to all relevant accounts.
Team Billing
Cited uses a shared subscription model for teams. The account's subscription plan determines the available features, usage limits, and number of businesses that can be managed.
All team members -- regardless of role -- are covered under the account's subscription. There are no additional per-seat charges for inviting team members. This means you can add Viewers, Members, and Admins without worrying about incremental costs.
Billing is managed exclusively by Admins. From Settings > Billing, admins can view the current plan, update payment methods, review usage, and upgrade or downgrade the subscription. Invoices and payment history are also available in this section.
If your team grows beyond the limits of your current plan, Cited will prompt the account admin to upgrade when a limit is approaching.
