Pricing questions, answered
- Is the audit really free?
- Yes. Paste the prompt from our homepage into Claude, ChatGPT or another AI assistant and it runs a free audit of your site. You don't need an account or a card.
- Is there a subscription?
- No. You buy credits when you need them and nothing renews. 1 credit is $1.
- How much does a paid audit cost?
- A standard audit is 10 credits. It covers up to 5 questions on each AI engine's main models. Each question after that costs 1 credit, up to 25 questions (so a 25-question audit is 30 credits), and each extra AI model costs 2 credits. Or pay $15 for one audit without buying a pack.
- What does a scheduled re-check cost?
- 5 credits, plus the same extras for more questions or models. A re-check asks the same questions on the same models and updates your citations and scores. You get new recommendations only when something drops.
- Will I be surprised by a charge?
- No. Every button that spends credits shows what it costs, and we ask first before anything over 20 credits. We email you and show a notice in the app when your balance drops below 10 credits or can't cover your next re-check. New accounts start with no credits; the free audit and voucher codes are the free ways in.
- What credit packs can I buy?
- $20 for 20 credits, $50 for 55 credits (10% bonus), $100 for 120 credits (20% bonus). Credits last 12 months from purchase, and we always use the ones that expire first.
- Can I get my money back?
- Yes. You can ask for a refund of unused credits within 30 days of buying them. If an audit fails, its credits come back to you automatically.
- What is auto-refill?
- It's optional. Save your card, pick a pack, and when your balance runs low we buy that pack for you with a 20% bonus. You set a monthly limit ($200 unless you change it) and it pauses if it reaches it.
- Can my AI agent use Cited?
- Yes. Agents can run the free audit with no sign-in, sign up for you and buy a single audit, or connect to our hosted MCP server at https://mcp.youcited.com or use the cited command-line tool.
