Why does it matter if AI bots can reach my site?

ChatGPT, Claude and Gemini can only cite pages their crawlers are allowed to read. If robots.txt or your firewall turns them away, AI answers recommend other sites instead.

What does the checker test?

For each AI crawler it reads your robots.txt the way the bot does, and it asks your homepage for a page while identifying as the bot to see whether your server or CDN turns it away.

Why is a firewall block only a warning?

Real AI crawlers come from their owners' published IP ranges, and some firewalls treat them differently from our test request. Check your CDN or security plugin's bot settings to be sure.
