Overview
Running audits and implementing solutions is only part of the process. To understand whether your efforts are working, you need to measure progress over time. Cited's analytics dashboard gives you a clear view of your AI visibility trends, lets you compare audit results, and provides export options for sharing reports with stakeholders.
Analytics Dashboard Overview
The analytics dashboard is accessible from your Business HQ and provides a consolidated view of your AI visibility performance. At a glance, you can see your current scores, historical trends, and key metrics across all providers.
The dashboard is designed to answer the question every team asks: "Are we getting better?" It surfaces the data points that matter most and presents them in a format that is easy to interpret without deep technical knowledge.
KPI Trends Over Time
The core of the analytics dashboard is the KPI trend view. Cited tracks several key performance indicators across your audit history:
- Visibility Score -- A composite measure of how often and how prominently your business appears in AI responses. This is your primary metric for overall AI visibility health.
- Citation Rate -- The percentage of audit questions where at least one AI provider cited a source associated with your business. A rising citation rate indicates that AI engines are finding and referencing your content more frequently.
- Mention Sentiment -- The overall sentiment of AI mentions of your business, tracked over time. This helps you catch and address negative or inaccurate representations before they become entrenched.
- Provider Coverage -- How consistently you appear across different AI platforms. Strong performance on one provider but not others indicates an opportunity to broaden your reach.
Each KPI is displayed as a trend line so you can see directional changes at a glance. Hover over any data point to see the specific audit and date it corresponds to.
Audit Comparison
The audit comparison feature lets you place two audits side by side to measure progress. The most common use case is comparing a baseline audit (your first measurement) against your most recent audit to see how far you have come.
Cited highlights the differences between audits at both the overall score level and the individual question level. You can see which questions improved, which declined, and which stayed the same. This granular view helps you understand exactly what is driving your score changes.
Audit comparison is also useful after implementing a batch of solutions. Run a new audit, compare it against the pre-implementation baseline, and verify that your changes had the expected impact.
Export Options
Cited supports exporting your analytics data as professional PDF reports. These reports are formatted for sharing with clients, leadership, or team members who may not log into the platform directly.
PDF reports include your key metrics, trend charts, audit comparison highlights, and a summary of recent activity. They are branded with your business logo and designed to be presentation-ready without additional formatting.
To generate a report, click Export from the analytics dashboard, select your desired format, and choose the date range to include.
Period Filtering
The analytics dashboard supports flexible time period filtering so you can focus on the timeframe that matters most to your analysis:
- Week -- View performance for the current or previous week. Useful for tracking the immediate impact of recent changes.
- Month -- A monthly view that aligns with typical reporting cadences.
- Quarter -- Quarterly trends for strategic reviews and planning sessions.
- Year to Date -- A cumulative view from January 1 of the current year through today.
All KPI charts, comparisons, and export options respect your selected time period, so you can generate reports scoped to exactly the window you need.
